Office Owner and his Personal Assistant were walking towards the gate when suddenly, the bag slipped from the Owner’s hand. A curious onlooker, the security guard, watched closely. He called out from behind, “Sir, you dropped your bag.” The Owner turned around, and the guard, holding the bag, said, “Here, it’s your backpack.”

“Thank you,” the Owner replied, as his assistant urged, “Hurry up, sir. We’re getting late; let’s go.”

The Owner hesitated for a moment, saying, “Wait a minute; I should reward him.” He opened the bag, but the guard stopped him, saying, “Sir,

there’s no need. I was just doing my duty.” Astonished, the Owner exclaimed, “There was money in here! Where did it go?”

“It was in the bag,” the assistant interjected.

“If you didn’t take it out, then who did?” the Owner asked, bewildered.

“It was you, sir. You picked up the bag and gave it to him, didn’t you?” The guard asserted.

Frustrated, the assistant insisted, “No, he didn’t take any money!”

“I swear, I didn’t take any money,” the guard affirmed, while the Owner continued searching the bag, clearly puzzled.

Assistant chimed in once more, “There was money in the bag.”

“If you didn’t take it, why aren’t you removing your shirt?” The Owner looked directly at the guard.

The assistant, growing more agitated, demanded, “If you didn’t take it, why aren’t you checking your pockets?”

The Owner, beginning to lose his patience, said, “I believe the money wasn’t taken.”

Still, the assistant persisted, “If you didn’t take it, then why aren’t you taking off your shirt?”

The guard, resolute, asserted, “I didn’t take any money. I swear on my mother’s life. I didn’t take any. You can search me if you want.”

Assistant, not backing down, retorted, “If you didn’t take it, then why aren’t you undressing? The money must be hidden somewhere.”

The Owner interrupted, “That’s enough. Let’s go; there’s no need to call the police.”

“No need to call the police, and as for firing him, someone else will do it,” the assistant remarked.

The guard, puzzled, asked, “What do you mean someone else will do it?”

“I mean, besides me, there are others here. I’m not the only one,” the assistant explained.

The guard, still baffled, replied, “I don’t understand. What do you mean, someone else?”

“In addition to me, there are others here, and you’re addressing them,” the assistant clarified.

“So, you’re talking to me,” the guard responded, slightly bewildered.

“Yes, I am talking to you,” the assistant affirmed.

“Alright, then. Believe what you want,” the guard concluded, slightly exasperated.

As they walked away, the assistant remarked, “You’ll remember this. Your attitude towards employees has changed since you got that promotion. Remember when I brought the file to you?”

“Yes,” the Owner recalled, “you handed it to me, and I said, ‘Here, take this file.’ And you threw it on the ground and said, ‘What’s this?'”

“That’s right,” the assistant confirmed. “You told me to pick it up, and I said, ‘Pick it up yourself.’ And you said, ‘Alright, then. You’re on my list now.'”

The Owner chuckled, “I remember that. I’ll get it for you later.”

The assistant nodded, “Alright. I’ll be waiting.”

As they walked, the assistant’s mind raced. He had carefully planned this confrontation, and it had played out just as he had anticipated. Now, it was only a matter of time before the guard would be removed from his position.
