The Tale of Generosity: A Lesson in Gratitude

Once, than engineer was working on the tenth floor of a dilapidated building. Engrossed in his work beneath the crumbling structure, he called out to a laborer repeatedly, but his pleas went unheard.

In an attempt to gain the worker’s attention, the engineer took out a $10 note from his pocket and dropped it down. He hoped it would catch the laborer’s eye and prompt him to look up, yet the laborer merely picked up the note and pocketed it, continuing his work without glancing upwards.

Undeterred, the engineer tried again with a $50 note, hoping that a larger sum might draw the laborer’s attention. However, the outcome remained the same, with the laborer retrieving the money and continuing his labor without acknowledging the engineer’s gesture.
